David Coman is the chief executive officer of Science 37, which makes it easier for people to participate in clinical research by connecting patients with doctors and nurses through telemedicine visits and home health screenings, then managing trial logistics from an integrated, comprehensive platform.

David came to Science 37 from ERT, where he led its data and analytics business after serving as the company’s chief strategy officer. As the leader of ERT’s data and analytics business, David reimagined the way the pharmaceutical industry looks at performance and risk management for clinical trials while more than doubling the company’s bookings from analytics over a two-year period. In his strategy role, David spearheaded the acquisition of four companies in a 12-month period, generating more than $1 billion in enterprise value, while repositioning ERT as the market leader in clinical trial data generation.

David joined ERT from Quintiles (now IQVIA), where as chief marketing officer and founder of its Digital Patient business, he helped lead the company’s growth from $2.7 billion in 2007 to $4.3 billion in 2015. It was here that David pioneered some of the industry’s first decentralized clinical trials while also driving significant growth and enterprise value.

Jonathan Cotliar has been Chief Medical Officer of Science 37 since November 2016. Prior to assuming this role, from November 2016 to May 2019, Jonathan served as Vice President of Medical Affairs of Science 37, where he contributed as an investigator on a number of virtual clinical trials in addition to his work in support of business development and regulatory strategy. He currently serves as Director of Inpatient Dermatology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, with previous full-time faculty appointments at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and City of Hope National Medical Center, where he was Chief of the Division of Dermatology. Jonathan earned his B.A. from Trinity College, MD from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, and completed his training in dermatology and internal medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. While at UCLA, he completed an NIH-sponsored K30 Fellowship in translational investigation. Jonathan is also board-certified in both internal medicine and dermatology.

Darcy Forman joined Science 37 in January 2020 as the Chief Delivery Officer responsible for clinical operations service delivery, including clinical operations, data management, and nursing solutions. Prior to Science 37, Darcy served as the Vice President of Corporate Development at Firma Clinical Research. Previously, Darcy served in multiple clinical operations and project management positions at various CROs spanning large, mid-size, and niche including i3 Research (now Syneos), Health Decisions, and Clinipace. She started her career at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals as a Bench Scientist before transitioning to Pfizer’s Clinical Research division. Darcy earned her B.A. in Chemistry from Lake Forest College. 

Tyler is an accomplished senior leader whose primary focus is accelerating global growth strategy, maintaining operational excellence, guiding corporate investments, and building corporate portfolios. Since joining Science 37 in 2021, he has played an instrumental role in developing and executing our corporate strategy, which includes organizational design optimization and leading M&A transactions.

Previously, Tyler was head of various business units at IQVIA. During his tenure at the health information technology and clinical research company, he led major investments in global commercial strategy, operational transformation, financial optimization, product development, and other clinical programs that resulted in rapid, sustainable growth.

Tyler completed his MBA in Strategy and Leadership at the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and BS in Economics at NC State University. He is an active volunteer at charitable organizations that benefit unhoused and underprivileged families in the Triangle area.

Christine Pellizzari joined Science 37 in July 2021 as Chief Legal Officer. Prior to joining Science 37, Christine served as the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Insmed, Inc. from 2013 to 2021 and as Chief Legal Officer from 2018 to 2021. She also currently serves on the board of directors of Tempest Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotechnology company, and Celsion Corporation, a fully-integrated oncology company. Prior to Insmed, Christine held various legal positions of increasing responsibility at Aegerion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., most recently as Executive Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Prior to Aegerion, she served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Dendrite International, Inc. Christine joined Dendrite from the law firm of Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, where she specialized in health care transactions and related regulatory matters. She has nearly three decades of relevant experience, including having served for over 25 years as CLO and General Counsel of publicly traded companies in biopharmaceutical and related industries. Christine earned her B.A. in Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law.

Mike Zaranek joined Science 37 in April 2020 as Chief Financial Officer. Mike joins Science 37 from IQVIA's Contract Sales & Medical Solutions, where he served as Vice President of Finance for the global business unit from May 2015 to April 2020. Previously, Mike spent almost two decades in corporate development roles. In the aggregate, he has experience in excess of $20 billion in inorganic and capital market transactions. Mike holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from The Pennsylvania State University and earned his master's degree in business administration from Duke University.

Michael Shipton, Chief Commercial Officer at Science 37, leads business development, strategic solutions, sales operations, and strategic pricing. He recently served as the Senior Vice President, Customer Solutions & Strategy at Syneos Health.  During his tenure with Syneos, Michael led a team that successfully drove strategic relationships that generated more than $1 billion in enterprise sales. He previously served as Senior Vice President, Market Development and Customer Engagement, which included accountability for global deal strategy, enterprise sales operations, global sales training, inside sales, customer engagement, and business insights. Michael also previously held executive and leadership roles at IQVIA and Nortel. 

As a senior life science technology executive, with more than 20 years of leadership experience,  Troy Bryenton leads technology strategy at Science 37,  delivering innovative solutions that drive transformative organizational change.  With deep expertise in clinical development and an ability to balance technological excellence with strategic business goals, Troy is an experienced business leader and partner, highly skilled in IT strategy, operational effectiveness, quality, product development, and organizational structure of high-functioning teams. Prior to Science 37, Troy held various senior technology leadership roles with Syneos Health, IQVIA, Novella Clinical, and several technology startups.

Irena Lambridis joined Science 37 in April 2023 as VP, Head of Quality Assurance & Compliance. Irena has spent the greater part of the past 20 years leading global, quality-focused groups within Chiltern/Covance and Novella Clinical/IQVIA Biotech and most recently as Head of Quality Assurance & Compliance and Learning & Development at KCR. With extensive expertise in ISO 9001-2015, GCP, CSV, GLP and GMP, Irena is positioned to lead Science 37 with a focus on quality across the organization.
